Microsoft is hiring an AI Network HW Systems Engineer to define, integrate, validate, optimize, and deploy networking infrastructure for next-generation MAIA AI systems. The role spans architecture, hardware bring-up, optical and SerDes interconnects, distributed training validation, performance analysis, root-cause debugging, telemetry, and automation. It requires expertise in AI infrastructure, optical and silicon photonics technologies, Ethernet and OIF standards, hyperscale datacenter deployments, and Linux-based validation and automation tooling.
