Description
The client is seeking a Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer to lead the migration of legacy WebSphere Application Server workloads onto Red Hat OpenShift in a mission-critical government tax environment. The role covers OpenShift cluster design and operations, containerization and application migration, GitOps and CI/CD pipelines, Terraform and Ansible infrastructure automation, SRE operations, observability, security, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring. Required expertise includes OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Java application containerization, observability, cloud platforms, and regulated-sector experience; IBM WebSphere modernization, Kafka, Python or Java scripting, and VMware are preferred.
