Description
The Senior Operations Advisor provides strategic, operational, and institutional guidance to Alabama Industries for the Blind, supporting mission-driven employment for blind and visually impaired individuals. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role advises on manufacturing, supply-center, military, service, and commercial operations; profitability and growth analysis; process improvement; legislative and stakeholder representation; revenue diversification; strategic planning; and human resources practices. The position is part-time, requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, at least five years leading large teams in manufacturing or retail, professional management experience with departmental budgeting, and is intended for a retired state employee. It pays $50.00 per hour, not to exceed 30 hours per week, and requires occasional regional and national travel.
