Description
Amazon is hiring a Senior Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, safety, quality, performance, and customer experience objectives for an inbound or outbound fulfillment center. The role leads Operations and Area Managers, drives Lean and process-improvement initiatives, manages staffing and performance, and coordinates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other senior operations leaders. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least seven years of direct management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution, and experience with performance metrics, process improvement, Lean techniques, and the full staffing lifecycle. The role involves physically demanding work, including lifting up to 49 pounds, frequent walking and standing, and access to noisy, unlit, unheated, and unconditioned areas.
