Foundational is hiring a Senior Optical Engineer in London for a full-time, on-site role. The position owns optical design across laser ranging stations, optical tracking systems, and retroreflector products, leading requirements, tolerancing, analysis, hardware verification, testing, trade studies, and mentorship. Candidates should have extensive optical engineering experience, optical design software and tolerance analysis skills, hands-on alignment and metrology experience, and knowledge of high-power laser optics.
