Infleqtion’s Quantum Computing Product Group is hiring a Senior Optical Engineer to design, model, validate, and troubleshoot complex optical and laser-based subsystems for neutral-atom quantum computing platforms. The role is hands-on and laboratory-focused, involving close collaboration with physicists and cross-functional engineering teams, development of high-fidelity Zemax models and Python automation, integration of advanced beam-steering and modulation technologies, and transition of research-grade optical subsystems into scalable commercial hardware. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in optical engineering, physics, or a related field plus at least 4 years of relevant experience, with preferred graduate education and strong expertise in optics, lab instrumentation, and version control.
