Ouster is hiring a Sr or Staff Embedded Software Engineer to architect, execute, and build embedded software for its lidar firmware system. The role works as a technical peer to the team lead, collaborates with ICs and the firmware team, and covers high-level system architecture and low-level module implementation. Required qualifications include modern C++ for embedded systems, Rust and Python, Linux kernel or driver development, complex embedded-system bring-up, and ARM-A-class SoCs. The position is onsite in San Francisco, California, with a disclosed base salary of $160,000 to $220,000 and possible equity and benefits.
