Description
Shield AI is hiring a Senior or Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical troubleshooting for production, testing, fielded aircraft, and customer operations. The role provides hands-on engineering support during aircraft builds and integration, leads root-cause investigations using fault trees and failure analysis, coordinates cross-functional corrective actions, manages design and process changes, and updates CAD models and documentation. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience for the Senior Engineer track or 8+ years for the Staff Engineer track, and proficiency with 3D CAD, engineering drawings, GD&T, and mechanical design for manufacturing.
