Sezzle is hiring a Senior Payments Engineer to own and scale backend services for its acquiring and payment-processing stack. The role focuses on authorization, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, chargebacks, dispute handling, and resilient transaction processing across payment processors, gateways, and card networks. It requires 7+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, strong Go or comparable experience, distributed-cloud architecture knowledge, hands-on use of Claude or an equivalent LLM, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. The position is full-time and remote, with compensation of $5,000-$9,500 USD per month gross.
