NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Performance Compiler Engineer to work on the open-source Triton compiler project and improve AI performance on NVIDIA GPUs. The role involves investigating GPU hardware and programming models, analyzing advanced AI algorithms and numerics, designing MLIR-based compiler technology, generating efficient low-level GPU code, using inline PTX for critical-path tuning, and collaborating with hardware and CUDA compiler teams. Candidates need a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of relevant software development experience, strong C++ and performance-debugging skills, parallel programming experience, and assembly-level programming experience. The base salary range is 184,000 USD to 287,500 USD, with equity and benefits, and applications were accepted until May 12, 2026.
