Lightmatter is hiring a Photonics PDK Design Automation Engineer to develop and maintain its internal Process Design Kit, including pcell libraries, layout versus schematic decks, device and parameter extraction, regression testing, and continuous integration. The role requires a master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering or photonics field, experience with foundry PDKs and photonic layout, Python and EDA tool expertise, and knowledge of integrated photonic devices and foundry processes. The position is based in Boston, Massachusetts, or Mountain View, California, and offers a base salary of $165,000 to $200,000 USD plus equity and other benefits.
