Smart Working is hiring a Senior PHP & Symfony Software Engineer for a long-term, full-time remote role focused on mission-critical backend systems. The engineer will own features end-to-end, develop strongly-typed and testable PHP and Symfony code, apply design patterns, maintain automated test coverage, participate in code reviews and on-call rotations, promote secure coding, document architecture, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers. The role requires at least five years of PHP experience and three years of Symfony experience, along with testing, CI/CD, and technical communication skills.
