The role is a senior backend software engineer focused on a core Symfony application. Responsibilities include independently delivering backend work, reviewing and challenging code and AI-generated solutions, upgrading the application from Symfony 6.1 to Symfony 7, improving performance and scalability, collaborating with Angular, TypeScript, Python AI services, and DevOps teams, and maintaining security and PII controls. The position requires extensive commercial software engineering and PHP experience, advanced Symfony, backend system design, MySQL, automated testing, AWS, and English communication skills, with the ability to work UK hours and pass background checks.
