McElhanney is hiring a full-time Senior Planner for its Planning practice in Alberta. The role supports land development and municipal policy initiatives, leads business development and client and government relationships, manages planning projects and subdivision and land-use approvals, and provides interim leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff. Candidates need at least 10 years of community and land-use planning experience, a relevant master’s degree or equivalent education and experience, planning-process knowledge, technical writing and public-engagement skills, CAD and GIS experience, and eligibility for Canadian Institute of Planners membership. The position may be based anywhere in Alberta and offers a base salary of $115,000–$135,000 per year, along with benefits, professional development, and potential share ownership.
