Description
The Orange County Sanitation District is hiring one Senior Plant Operator to oversee and participate in complex wastewater treatment plant operations, including monitoring and maintaining equipment, controlling unit processes, performing adjustments and repairs, collecting laboratory samples, assisting with staff training, and acting as shift supervisor when needed. The role requires a high school diploma or G.E.D., specialized wastewater treatment training, three years of increasingly responsible experience, a valid Grade III California Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate, and a California class C driver's license. The salary range is $54.79 to $60.41 per hour, and applications are accepted continuously until the vacancy is filled.
