Google is hiring a Platform Application Engineer (Hardware Engineer) to support customers using Google Cloud AI/ML infrastructure. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving hardware, silicon, platform, and workload issues; developing root-cause fixes and diagnostic tools; and collaborating with product, quality, engineering, and site reliability teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, six years of technical infrastructure experience, six years of CPU, dGPU, or TPU debug or validation experience, five years of hardware debug experience, and experience debugging issues across the hardware and software stack. The role is based in Kirkland, Washington, or Sunnyvale, California, and offers a base salary of $188,000 to $274,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
