Arta is hiring a Backend Systems Engineer to build and scale core financial systems for its wealth platform, including trading and order workflows, ledger and portfolio accounting, transaction processing, reconciliation, billing, APIs, backend services, and real-time and batch data pipelines. The role emphasizes correctness, consistency, reliability, observability, fault tolerance, and distributed systems design, with possible integration of AI-powered systems. Candidates need at least five years of backend or systems engineering experience, experience in financial systems, data infrastructure, or scalable backend platforms, strong system design and programming skills, and familiarity with modern infrastructure. The position works three days per week in the Mountain View office and offers a base salary of $110,000-$205,000 plus benefits.
