Description

Sydecar is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to build and improve internal developer platforms, CI/CD and build/deploy automation, cloud infrastructure as code, release and test automation, and security practices. The role partners with product teams, leads projects through deployment, mentors engineers, and contributes to architecture and platform roadmap decisions. It is a hybrid position based in San Francisco or New York City with two to three days of in-office attendance per week.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of software or platform engineering experience
Depth in one or more platform areas, including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, release engineering, or security
Experience improving developer velocity, system reliability, or release safety at scale
Experience with agentic or AI-assisted software development workflows
Preferred Qualifications: TypeScript and Node.js
Fintech experience in payments, compliance, or regulated environments
Experience building internal developer platforms or developer-experience tooling
Terraform, GCP, and observability tooling
Security experience with OWASP practices, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, or application security
Exposure to NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and Playwright or React Testing Library
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
