Trading Technologies is undergoing a significant infrastructure transformation in the capital markets sector, transitioning from a VMware-based datacenter to a modernized Red Hat and AWS ecosystem. They're reorganizing their engineering team into dedicated Cloud and Platform divisions. The company seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to join their new Platform Team. The primary objective is to simplify life for developers while ensuring absolute reliability, shifting infrastructure from a ticketing system to a product-centric approach. Backstage will become the central hub for all platform engineering operations, acting as the core data model and source of truth. The role involves owning Backstage, modernizing deployments using GitOps, containerization, and progressive delivery, improving developer experience by abstracting AWS complexities, supporting SRE in capital markets with Linux expertise, coding infrastructure as code, and optimizing pipelines.
