Verition Fund Management LLC is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to own and operate its Linux infrastructure across private data centers and cloud regions. The role focuses on kernel-level and system-level performance tuning, Python and modern configuration-management automation, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu management, security hardening, distributed systems, cloud platforms, production support, and mentoring. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of systems or platform engineering experience focused on Linux infrastructure, and advanced Linux kernel expertise. The annual base salary is $150,000 to $200,000 USD, with a discretionary performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.
