Description
NVIDIA is hiring an OpenBMC Networking Engineer to architect and implement OpenBMC-based management for systems combining host CPUs, BMCs, and coordinated top-of-rack Ethernet switching. The role defines switch-management architecture across D-Bus, Redfish, configuration, eventing, telemetry, security, and backend switch-control interfaces; develops object models and L2 networking capabilities; and builds abstraction layers for Linux switchdev, netlink, SAI/SONiC/SWSS, DENT, and vendor ASIC SDKs. The engineer will collaborate with hardware, ASIC, security, firmware, QA, manufacturing, and cloud networking teams and contribute to design specifications, APIs, documentation, and testing. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, 12+ years of relevant experience, OpenBMC firmware development experience, Ethernet switch and L2 networking expertise, system-management software experience, and strong C/C++ and Python skills.
