The role leads API Downstream’s health and chemical management policy development and supports product stewardship advocacy through the Health & Product Stewardship Committee and Product Stewardship Policy Group. Responsibilities include coordinating member-company engagement, developing industry priorities, advocating for balanced and science-based chemical-management policies, representing API to policymakers and other stakeholders, providing budget guidance, and overseeing third-party contractor spending. The position requires 7–10 years of similar experience, subject-matter expertise, extensive oil and natural gas industry knowledge, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and approximately 10% travel.
