Applied Materials is hiring a Senior Precision Stage Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of high-precision motion stages and their mechatronic subsystems. The role combines mechanical design, control-system architecture, multi-axis servo tuning, dynamic modeling, metrology integration, prototype qualification, troubleshooting, and system integration for semiconductor and similar-scale capital equipment. It is a full-time onsite position in Santa Clara, California, with 20% travel, and requires 10–15+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, or controls engineering.
