Description
Assystem is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for a defence infrastructure programme to lead mechanical engineering activities, review designs and technical documentation, support optioneering and safety-case development, provide technical assurance, oversee construction and commissioning, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, security and quality standards. The role requires mechanical engineering experience on complex projects, experience in safety-critical or high-hazard environments, design assurance and governance experience, knowledge of the engineering lifecycle, and strong stakeholder and multidisciplinary collaboration skills. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and Chartered Engineer status are required; the role is based in Glasgow City Centre in a hybrid arrangement and is open to sole UK nationals.
