Description
Assystem is hiring a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer for its Fusion and Modular Nuclear business unit. The role leads the design and development of personnel airlocks, access hatches, fuel transfer channels, piping and electrical penetrations, nuclear doors, and cooling-water systems; it also covers DFMEA, HAZID, human factors, risk registers, design packages, technical specifications, interface management, and coordination with engineering, supplier, and stakeholder teams. The position requires nuclear engineering expertise, systems engineering, regulatory knowledge, subcontractor management, and a Chartered Engineer qualification, with hybrid work of 1–2 remote days per week and the ability to travel to UK offices and customer sites.
