Description
Bayer is hiring a Senior Principal Scientist to lead Drug Substance strategy and chemical process development for new chemical entities. The role partners with external CDMOs to design, optimize, and scale synthetic routes for preclinical and clinical APIs, manage API supply campaigns, oversee process transfers, support regulatory filings, and provide CMC assessments. Candidates need a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related science, extensive pharmaceutical experience, strong synthetic chemistry expertise, and experience representing chemistry across internal and external CMC teams. The position is based in Wuppertal-Elberfeld or Berlin, Germany, with a full-time annual salary of 109,800€ to 138,500€ plus variable compensation and equity.
