Progress is hiring a Senior Principal Software Engineer for its LoadMaster engineering team in Ireland. This senior individual contributor role owns critical LoadMaster functional and architectural areas, delivering core features and platform components while serving as a technical authority across complex Linux systems, low-latency TCP/IP networking, performance, security, and maintainability. The position includes architectural leadership, deep problem solving, mentoring senior engineers, and collaboration with globally distributed teams. Experience with C systems programming, Linux internals and tooling, performance engineering, security, and systems optimization is required; expertise in authentication, WAF, load balancing, proxy architectures, TLS, embedded Linux, distributed systems, and observability is beneficial.
