Description
IonQ is hiring a Packaging Technician to build and qualify quantum processing-unit packaging hardware in its College Park cleanroom. The role trains and qualifies the technician on precision cleaning, epoxy and assembly, die and wire bonding, reflow, plasma cleaning, inspection, and testing; then operates complex packaging equipment, handles delicate components, records inspection data, interprets test results, adjusts recipes or programs within engineer-defined limits, and supports cleanroom operations. The position requires roughly two years of hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing, laboratory, or precision-assembly environment, strong fine-motor and microscope skills, cleanroom reliability, and basic office proficiency. It is a five-day-per-week onsite role with a base salary of $79,040–$120,640 USD and medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
