eShepherd is hiring a Senior Product Development Engineer in Hamilton to design, develop, test, and improve the mechanical hardware for its virtual fencing technology. The role covers the full product lifecycle, including concept design, manufacturing and production readiness, field support, root-cause analysis, and product improvement, while collaborating with electronics, firmware, product, manufacturing, procurement, customer success, and field services teams. Candidates should have strong mechanical engineering capability, preferably a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, along with knowledge of injection-moulded plastic design, CAD, DFM, DFMEA, and mechanical failure diagnosis.
