Description

Google is hiring a Product Manager for Spatial Platform to define and deliver scalable spatial capabilities across Android XR devices, including immersive headsets and intelligent eyewear. The role partners with developer experience, AOSP, toolkit, hardware, software, and UX teams to shape platform strategy, APIs, SDKs, device launches, and spatial AI capabilities. It requires a technical background, extensive product management or technical program leadership experience, and experience with low-level OS, kernel, system performance, power or battery architecture, or hardware-software platforms.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 8 years of experience in product management or technical program leadership.
5 years of experience shipping low-level OS, kernel, system performance, power/battery architecture, or hardware-software platforms.
Experience defining and enforcing system performance budgets across consumer electronics or embedded computing platforms.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver commercial consumer hardware or platform releases.
Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience with AOSP, Android Toolkits, or other scaled OS platforms.
Experience managing complex partner ecosystems, including negotiations and technical collaboration with OEMs.
Experience defining and launching developer-facing platforms, APIs, SDKs, or tools.
Deep understanding of hardware/software co-design and system architecture for consumer electronics.
Familiarity with the XR market, including headsets and smart glasses, and its application in consumer use cases.
