Description
PayPal is hiring a Senior Product Security Engineer to design, build, and operate automated security scanners and developer guardrails across the software development lifecycle. The role partners with engineering, platform, and security teams to reduce risk in source code, open-source dependencies, secrets, software supply chains, AI/LLM tools, and developer workflows. Responsibilities include developing security automation, tuning SAST, SCA, and supply-chain controls, writing detection rules and APIs, troubleshooting integrations, and improving coverage, performance, adoption, and remediation outcomes. The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, with additional qualifications in SLSA, SBOMs, CI/CD security, cloud-native technologies, and programming languages such as Python, Go, and Bash.
