Macmillan Publishers is hiring a Senior Production Editor for Macmillan Adult Trade to manage the production editorial process for approximately 35 to 40 books per year. The role covers manuscript assessment, copyediting, electronic styling, proofreading, indexing, jacket and cover copy, quality control, compliance, freelancer management, digital tracking, and support for other production editors. Candidates need extensive adult trade experience, strong grammar and Chicago Manual of Style knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and workflow systems, and a bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience. The salary range is $70,000 to $75,000.
