Description

DeSimone Consulting Engineering is hiring a Project Engineer II (SPE) to support and manage structural design from concept through construction. The role involves structural analysis and design, preparation of plans and documentation, review of shop drawings and submittals, coordination with architects, clients, and municipal agencies, client participation, project planning, and mentorship of junior engineers and BIM technicians. The position is based in Boston or Foxborough, Massachusetts, and offers a base salary of $99,400–$114,500.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field, or a Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
Required Previous Experiences: Seven years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design of mid- to high-rise buildings, including project management.
Five years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design of mid- to high-rise buildings, including project management.
Five years of experience performing and supervising the design and analysis of mid- to high-rise buildings.
Five years of experience using structural design software, including ETABS, RAM, RISA, Rhino, PCA, and SAFE.
Five years of experience preparing structural models, extracting data for wind tunnel testing, applying wind tunnel loads, and understanding supplemental damping strategies.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.
Master’s degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in Grasshopper.
