The Senior Project Engineer serves as the technical source of information for a construction project, interpreting drawings, specifications, shop drawings, change orders, contracts, and purchase orders while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. The role manages procurement, submittals, budgets, cost controls, change orders, claims, project documentation, and project-team supervision, and may assist with concrete form design, equipment selection, and takeoffs. It requires an advanced construction-engineering knowledge base, a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training, and three to four years of similar construction engineering experience.
