Shield AI is hiring a Senior Propulsion Design Engineer to design, release, test, and support propulsion hardware for its X-BAT UAV platform, including engine, fuel, oil, and bleed air systems. The role covers CAD modeling and GD&T, manufacturing and build support, test instrumentation, design validation, configuration management, and cross-functional design reviews. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline, at least five years of aerospace hardware design experience, NX proficiency, and U.S. citizenship or ITAR compliance; UAV jet propulsion, FEA/ANSYS, Python, and security clearance experience are preferred.
