Description

Shield AI is hiring a Senior Propulsion Engineer to serve as the propulsion subject-matter expert for its V-BAT Fleet Support team. The role leads customer-facing escalation troubleshooting for engine, fuel, oil, thermal, vibration, and mechanical issues; analyzes flight, maintenance, teardown, and field data; develops troubleshooting and repair guidance; and partners with propulsion, air-vehicle, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to improve fleet reliability and drive design improvements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline, at least six years of aircraft, rotorcraft, unmanned aircraft system, or propulsion engineering experience, hands-on propulsion and field-hardware troubleshooting experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance.
