Description

Apex is hiring a Senior Propulsion Engineer to own the pressurized fluid and propellant feed-system design for spacecraft propulsion modules. The role covers fluid architecture, component selection, routing, safety and transient analysis, testing, range-safety compliance, hazardous operations, manufacturing handoff, and support through launch and on-orbit operations. It is a senior individual-contributor position with technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities, requiring a bachelor's degree and substantial experience in pressurized fluid or propellant feed systems.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or a related engineering field
Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of experience in fluid systems engineering, with substantial hands-on work on pressurized fluid or propellant feed systems
Hands-on experience defining and executing fluid-system test campaigns
Direct experience with range safety and pressure-systems requirements, including fracture control and hazardous operations
Track record bringing fluidic flight hardware through qualification and into space
Experience designing to vehicle requirements and conforming to ICDs
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related engineering field
Experience with electric and chemical propulsion feed systems
Experience with composite-overwrapped pressure vessels and fracture control
Experience bringing feed systems into serial or high-rate production
Experience authoring hazardous operations procedures and obtaining range approvals
Familiarity with precision cleaning, contamination control, and propellant compatibility
Experience designing and operating fluid GSE for servicing, fill/drain, and testing
