Free is hiring a Backend Engineer to lead the backend of its subscriber information system, which manages subscriptions, subscriber areas, video services, and mobile-phone sales. The role involves understanding complex business processes, guiding distributed-system architecture, contributing hands-on Python development, and establishing resilient, testable, scalable, and secure operations. The position requires 7 to 10 years of Python engineering experience and familiarity with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, SQL, distributed systems, Linux, Docker, observability, testing, production deployment, security, and cloud environments.
