Description
The London Borough of Newham is hiring a full-time, permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Property and Assets team in London. The role leads cost management, procurement, tender evaluation, contract administration, valuations, claims, final accounts, financial reporting, commercial risk management, and strategic cost advice across capital projects, maintenance, refurbishment, and regeneration work. It requires a degree in quantity surveying or a related discipline, MRICS qualification or progress toward chartership, significant cost management and contract administration experience, knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts, and strong commercial and stakeholder-management skills. The position offers hybrid working, a salary of £59,298–£62,574 plus Local Government Pension Scheme, and a closing date of 8 October 2026.
