Microsoft Quantum is hiring a Senior Quantum Engineer to develop devices, experiments, tools, and engineering methods for scalable quantum computing. The role covers cryogenic systems, control and readout electronics, measurement instrumentation, software and automation, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, subsystem integration, and performance validation in room-temperature and cryogenic environments. Candidates need a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate in physics, engineering, or a related field with the corresponding years of industry or research-and-development experience, along with security-screening eligibility and experience with quantum engineering, experimental equipment, systems integration, and high-level programming. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800–234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
