Awetomaton is hiring a Senior Research Engineer to support existing customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. The role focuses on enhancing and optimizing R&D algorithms, deriving insights from raw sensor data, and developing Python software using imagery science, modern libraries, and software engineering practices. The position requires an advanced engineering or related degree, substantial image-processing and Python experience, OPIR data expertise, and an active Top Secret security clearance. It is largely performed from WPAFB, with candidates considered through early August and a planned September 2026 start date.
