Description
Pathos is hiring a Senior Research Engineer to build oncology foundation models that power AI-driven drug development. The role focuses on designing and optimizing large-scale multimodal models using genomic, clinical, imaging, and outcomes data; performing pre-training and post-training with methods such as RLHF and DPO; developing custom CUDA kernels and distributed training pipelines; and collaborating with oncology and clinical teams to improve patient selection, biomarker strategy, and trial design. The position is hybrid in NYC and requires deep ML expertise, strong systems and GPU programming skills, and the ability to communicate technical work across engineering and scientific audiences.
