Apex is hiring a Senior RF/Comms Systems Engineer to design and develop hardware and software for spacecraft RF, digital, and optical communications systems, including satellite bus and ground-station architectures. The role covers requirements definition, link-budgeting and performance analysis, MATLAB and object-oriented software development, hardware integration and verification, and coordination with customers and other engineering trades. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field, at least five years of spacecraft RF and telemetry communications experience, and U.S. person status or the ability to obtain required export authorizations. The position offers a base salary of $175,000 to $215,000 per year plus equity and healthcare benefits.
