Description

Reflect Orbital is hiring a Senior Satellite Ground Software Engineer to build, deploy, operate, and maintain ground-segment software for satellite missions. The role covers telemetry and command services, operator tools, automation, AWS and Kubernetes deployment, ground-station and network integrations, GSaaS providers, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering mentorship, with 24/7 on-call support. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of ground-systems software experience, and expertise in networking, satellite ground systems, databases, Linux, DevOps, and scripting.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years developing ground systems software, services, APIs, and applications
Experience owning a system end to end, from design through deployment and on-call
Experience deploying and operating software on AWS with Kubernetes and CI/CD
Experience working with Ground Station-as-a-Service providers
Experience building services around databases and real-time data
Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Git, Docker, and CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, VPNs, and secure connectivity
Knowledge of satellite ground systems, including ground station networking, antenna interfaces, and RF subsystems
Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools
Strong programming and scripting skills, with Python and C++ preferred
Experience building software for multi-satellite constellation operations
CCSDS protocol experience and ground station network integrations
