Evotec is recruiting a Senior Scientist (Expression) for its Protein Sciences Team in Alderley Park. The role is permanent and full-time, focusing on designing and executing work plans for early drug discovery projects, developing and optimizing recombinant protein expression systems in insect cell platforms, generating and characterizing baculoviruses, troubleshooting expression challenges, and delivering high-quality protein reagents. The position requires strong recombinant protein expression and protein biochemistry expertise, extensive insect cell expression experience, and a PhD or relevant degree with corresponding experience. Additional Information

Minimum Education: PhD or a degree in a relevant scientific discipline, ideally with relevant industry experience
Required Previous Experiences: Extensive hands-on experience in insect cell expression systems, including BEVS and Drosophila S2 cell expression
Experience designing, cloning, and optimizing expression constructs for recombinant protein production in insect cell platforms
Experience generating, amplifying, and characterizing recombinant baculoviruses for protein production campaigns
Experience executing small-scale screening and large-scale insect cell expression experiments
Experience maintaining and optimizing insect cell cultures, including Sf9, Sf21, S2, and High Five cell lines
Experience developing and troubleshooting insect cell expression strategies for challenging protein targets
Experience executing work plans with accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant industry experience
