Description

Harness is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for its Security Research Engineering team to validate and improve API and AI security detections across global customer environments. The role operationalizes the Traceable by Harness Protection module, acts as an extended SOC and red team, evaluates ModSecurity, API, AI, and OWASP detections, hunts for business logic abuse and fraud, automates threat-hunting workflows, black-box tests APIs and detections, investigates incidents, and provides technical guidance to customer security teams.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 4–6 years of experience in security engineering, detection engineering, threat hunting, penetration testing, incident response, or a closely related discipline.

Prior experience in a customer-facing security engineering, SOC, or professional services role.
Relevant security certifications, including API, AI/LLM, offensive, or web-security credentials.
