Description
Flywire is hiring a Senior Security Engineer on its Defensive Platform Builder track to act as a technical authority for secure software design and cloud-native infrastructure defense. The role owns automated security controls and validation tooling across the SDLC and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, hardens AWS or similar public-cloud architectures, secures Docker and Kubernetes environments, and deploys AI-driven code and application reviews. It also involves embedding security in sprint planning, mentoring engineers, and aligning controls with PCI-DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, and DORA. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline, 5–8 years of progressive application security and cloud architecture experience, and expertise in AWS, containerization, CI/CD, modern programming languages, AI security, cryptography, and federated authentication.
