Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Security Engineer for its Device Ecosystem and Platform team to secure the Android platform stack. The role involves developing trusted system components, security features, and vulnerability remediation; working across drivers, tools, Linux Kernel, trusted applications, AOSP frameworks and services; collaborating with developers, testers, product managers, and security experts; researching security best practices; troubleshooting vulnerabilities; and representing the team with partners. The position requires a computer science or engineering degree or equivalent practical experience, Android software development experience, OS-level security implementation experience, and strong C/C++, Java, or Kotlin skills. The typical base pay range in Romania is 263,600–434,000 lei per year, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
