Google is hiring a Senior SerDes Characterization Engineer to lead high-speed Serializer/Deserializer IP, silicon, and system characterization for next-generation data center and AI/ML accelerator platforms. The role owns characterization strategies, test methodologies, lab automation, industry-standard participation, vendor and IP-provider engagement, technology pathfinding, prototyping, and the technical leadership of a SerDes characterization team. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 8 years of high-speed SerDes characterization or electrical physical-layer design experience, and 5 years of technical leadership experience.
