Mindrift is seeking experienced software developers for a project-based opportunity focused on creating and evaluating realistic tasks for AI coding agents. The role involves building simulated developer environments, designing intermediate-state coding tasks and acceptance criteria, writing robust functional and integration tests, and iterating based on QA feedback. Candidates need 8+ years of software development experience, proficiency with Python/FastAPI and JavaScript/TypeScript/React, familiarity with Docker, Postgres, Kafka, and Redis, testing experience, and B2+ English. This is not permanent employment; participants are paid per accepted task, with tasks estimated at about 30 hours and compensation up to the equivalent of $150 per hour.
